About Us

We are a friendly non-profit making society which is run, by unpaid volunteers, for the benefit of all our members. We aim to provide help, advice and competitive products to members.
Formed in around 1931, we hope to improve the quality of allotments, for the benefit of the local community throughout the whole district.

We operate an allotment shop which is open :-
Currently every Sunday 10am-12noon.
Anyone over 18 years of age is eligible to join and new members are always welcome.
Annual membership Adults £3.00 Concessions £2.00 (due 1st January each year)

Thanks

Many thanks to all those who donated or bought plants at our recent plant sale, the event was a fantastic success.
We still have a few plants left, including tomatoes, which will again be available this weekend.

Surplus Plant Sale Weekend (9.30am - 1.00pm Sat 22nd & Sun 23rd May 2010)

We are holding a large surplus plant sale over the above weekend. Plants will be available for a small donation, and any proceeds raised will go towards the continuing hut renovation project.

The following list contains a selection of the fruit & vegatables plants which will be available:- Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Melons, Peppers, Chilli Peppers, Courgettes, Pumpkins, Butternut/Squashes, Lettuce, Runner Beans, Peas, Broad Beans, French Beans, Leeks, Cabbage, Kale,Sprouts, Cauliflower, Parsnip, Beetroot, Spinach, Fennel, Jerusalem Artichoke, Strawberry plants. Flowers include :-Lupins, Sweet Peas, Zinnia, Cosmos, Fuschia, Rudbeckia, Sunflowers etc. Rhubarb will also be available.

Should members wish to donate further surplus plants this would be most appreciated.
Please arrive early to pick up a bargain!
