2014 Plant Sales
We are pleased to announce the dates of our annual "bring and buy" plant sales
to raise funds towards our long term plans to build a new allotment community
hut. They will take place between 9.30am and 2.30pm on Saturday 3rd & Sunday
4th May and again on Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th May 2014 and we do hope you
will come and support us. We hope to have a large selection of vegetable, fruit,
herbs and bedding plants available. We will again have tea, coffee and a
selection of homemade cakes available.

Mobile Garden Tool Sharpening Event - Sun 27th April 9.30am to 12.30pm
Next Sunday we have been approached by Dan McCready to host a "while you wait" Garden Tool Sharpening event outside the hut. This is a great opportunity to get back into use much loved, old or second-hand tools. Should you be interested prices and services are detailed below:-
Blade removal, sharpening, cleaning, oiling & resetting:-
Lawnmowers £15.00
Sharpening, oiling & resetting (where applicable):-
Shears, Pruners/Loppers, Axes/Choppers £5.00
Spades or Shovels £4.00
Hoes £3.00
Chisels £1.50-£2.50
Secateurs £2.00
Knives & Scissors £1-£2.00
There will also be tea, coffee and cake available while you wait for a small donation to society funds.
